Greater Poland Digital Library

Greater Poland Digital Library (WBC) is a joint initiative of the Poznań academic community. The project participants are scientific and public libraries in Poznań. The main assumption of WBC is to create access via the Internet to four types of resources: educational resources (scripts, textbooks and scientific monographs); cultural heritage resources (selected literary monuments located in Poznań libraries); regional materials (writings concerning Poznań and Wielkopolska); musical materials (sheet music and literature related to music). WBC uses dLibra software – designed and developed by the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.

Federation of Digital Libraries

Federation of Digital Libraries (FBC) is an internet service whose primary purpose is to collect, process and provide online information about the collections of Polish scientific and cultural institutions. Institutions such as libraries, archives and museums provide their collections online in digital form, having previously digitized them. They do this through services called libraries, archives or digital museums.
One of the most complete lists of such services can be found on the FBC website. Users – internet users – can use collections made available directly by these institutions in individual digital libraries.
The Federation's task is to enable users to search only selected data sources, in a more precise way than general search engines allow. The basis of the FBC is a database updated every night about objects made available on the network by Polish institutions of science and culture. Users searching this database receive links to objects located in digital libraries cooperating with the FBC.

Polona

POLONA is one of the most modern digital libraries in the world and the largest library of this type in Poland. The National Library provides access to not only its own collections, but also objects from other institutions - digitized using the latest technologies, allowing for the highest quality.
Every day, POLONA's collection grows by an average of 2 items: books, old prints, manuscripts, graphics, maps, sheet music, photographs, leaflets, posters and postcards. Annually, this amounts to over 000 million scans.
POLONA enables users to create their own collections, work with an active text layer (OCR), add notes and bookmarks to objects. The digital library is equipped with advanced search and filters for browsing collections.
POLONA contains the most valuable treasures of Polish culture and history, such as the Chronicle of Anonymus called Gallus, manuscripts of Kochanowski, Mickiewicz and Chopin, and drawings by Norwid and Witkacy.
The POLONA collections cover a wide range of fields and eras: illuminated manuscripts, the oldest Polish printed books, engravings, drawings, and popular publications – postcards, old primers, children's books, cookbooks, and old guidebooks.
The press panel allows you to access digital copies of the daily press via a built-in calendar.
Most of the collections made available are in the public domain, so they can be downloaded and used freely.

Europeana

Europeana provides digital access to Europe's cultural and scientific heritage. It provides millions of text documents, images, audio, video and 3D objects from European galleries, libraries, archives and museums.
