"219 articles were accepted into the program. The program was resumed on June 16, 2026, with a pool of 468 articles for 2026. The program covers articles accepted for publication in 2026. Articles published in the subscription model in ACS hybrid journals in 2026 before the program launch can be converted to OA under the program ("retroactivation"). ACS has provided the ICM with a list of articles that meet the retroactivation criteria, and ICM will send the corresponding authors a proposal to convert these articles to OA by June 25. ICM is not entirely certain whether the ACS list is complete, therefore authors who would like to benefit from retroactivation but do not receive such a proposal by June 25 may contact the program coordinator at ICM at b.kleyny@icm.edu.pl.
