ORCID
ORCID, or Open Researcher and Contributor ID, is an international system for identifying authors of scientific works.
ORCID is a unique digital identifier that allows you to distinguish authors with the same name or different spelling variants and to assign publications to a person in scientific databases. Creating an account in ORCID and creating your own identifier is completely free.
The registration form includes basic data: name, surname, e-mail, password. You should also specify access to the profile, which we will create according to one of three options:
- Everyone – will be completely open,
- Trusted parties – semi-open (access only to institutions and services with which the profile is linked
- only me – limited only to the profile owner, invisible to outsiders.
Please remember to verify your email address by clicking on the link in the email you receive. The message also contains the assigned ORCID number and a link to the created profile.
The identifier can be connected and linked to author profiles created in other, similar identification systems (Scopus, Researcher ID/Publons).

The PBN system allows you to log in using an ORCID ID. To do this, you must have an account in ORCID and then link it to your PBN account. For those who do not have an ORCID, the PBN system offers the option of going to the form for creating this identifier.
