USING THE COLLECTIONS – GUESTS

 

The Main Library collects and makes available to users scientific and educational literature in the field of medical sciences, health sciences and related sciences.

We offer all users of the Poznań University of Medical Sciences Library the opportunity to use printed collections on site, in the Library. We offer authorized users the opportunity to borrow books.

USE ON SITE

The collections made available on-site can be used by all interested users, without the need to register with the Circualtion Desk. This applies to both book collections made available in the Main Reading Room and periodicals made available in the Periodicals Reading Room.

It is possible to use books and journals outside the Reading Rooms, only on the Library premises. In such a case, however, the consent of the librarian on duty, filling in the order slip and presenting a valid identification document are required.

CIRCULATION

The only authorized group of users from outside the PUMS to whom we offer the possibility of creating a Reader Account and borrowing books are students, PhD students and academic staff of Poznań universities associated with the Poznań Foundation of Scientific Libraries.

The basis for setting up and activating a Reader Account is having an active library account at your home university and a student, doctoral student or employee ID, as appropriate.

You can set up an account via email by sending the necessary data from your personal email address in your home university domain to the following address: wypozyczalnia@ump.edu.pl. The email you send must include:

  • personal data:
    • first name and last name,
    • date of birth,
    • Date of birth (YYYYMMDD),
    • residential/correspondence address,
    • name of the student's/employee's home university,
    • student/employee ID card barcode number,
    • university email address,
    • Phone number,
  • GDPR clause:

"I consent to the processing of my above-mentioned personal data by the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań, ul. Fredry 10, 61-701 Poznań, the Main Library, ul. Przybyszewskiego37a, 60-356 Poznań for the purpose of recording service and control of access to collections, for statistical purposes and correspondence purposes. Processing is carried out in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC Art. 6, letter a. I declare that I have read the Regulations on the use of resources and services of the Main Library of the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań."
